There are eight action buttons on the main screen of HHS2. They are:
• “New” - Creates a new blank item. If an item is currently selected it deselects it without recording the entries in the edit fields. When “New” is selected the New button deactivates itself, the “Find” button, and numerous menus. To exit the “New” mode you can either:
•• The name field must have an entry. If the name field is blank HHS2 will beep and not record the item.
•• Select an existing item from the item list.
•• “Delete” the new item by pressing the Delete button.
•• Select a different category.
•• or “Quit” the application all together.
• “Delete” - Deletes the currently selected item from the item list and leaves the edit fields blank. If no item is currently selected it does nothing.
• “Find” - Brings up the “Find” dialog box.
•• Pressing the Command key while clicking “Find” is the same as “Find again” for the Edit menu.
• “?” - Brings up the About/Help window.
• “New” (Next to “?”) - Creates a new empty category. Active only when a file is open and there are less than 40 categories.
• “Print” - Prints a shopping list. Pressing the command key when you click print will print the whole file.
